If you own a Porsche and want a Porsche mechanic for Algeciras outside the official network, we're about 20 km away in La Línea and handle servicing, repairs and performance work.
Between Algeciras, Sotogrande and Gibraltar you'll spot Cayennes and Macans in daily use and the odd 911 or Boxster kept for weekends. Each has its own known issues. Early 996 and 997 911s, and Boxsters and Caymans with the M96 and M97 engines, are known for the IMS bearing and for bore scoring. First-generation V8 Cayennes are known for coolant pipes that fail under the intake manifold. And the PDK gearbox in the Macan needs maintaining like any dual-clutch.
A Porsche that lives by the sea and does few miles suffers in other ways: flat batteries, brakes that rust while it sits, and rubber that dries out. We check it all and explain what we find.
We also build custom stainless exhausts for owners who want to change the sound, always to your spec.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if my 996 has IMS problems?
There's no single sign. Noise from the back of the engine or metal in the oil filter are warnings. The best approach is to have it checked and, if you like, have the filter inspected at the next oil change.
Can I have my Porsche serviced away from the dealer?
Yes. We follow the manufacturer's intervals and use oils and parts to the right specification. You get a price before we start.
My Cayenne is losing coolant and I can't see where. What could it be?
On first-generation V8s it's often the pipes under the intake manifold, which you can't see from outside. It needs proper diagnosis before we can quote.
Do you make exhausts for Porsches?
Yes, we fabricate stainless exhausts and valves to order. A louder exhaust can affect the ITV, and keeping the car road-legal is the owner's responsibility.
