Remaps and custom exhausts for Benalmádena
We do remaps and custom exhausts for drivers from Benalmádena and Arroyo de la Miel at our workshop in La Línea de la Concepción. It's about 115 km, so we treat it as a job that's planned properly before you leave home.

Driving route to the workshop
Benalmádena is really three places: Arroyo de la Miel, the busy part on the hillside; the old pueblo further up; and Benalmádena Costa, with Puerto Marina and the seafront. Getting anywhere usually means the A-7 or the coastal dual carriageway at busy times, with queues towards Málaga and Fuengirola. That's the kind of driving where a turbo engine with strong low-down response makes a difference every day.
Remaps and exhausts are what people here ask us about most. A remap changes the ECU's maps so the engine makes more torque and responds sooner; how much depends on the engine and its condition, and we don't quote figures before we've seen it. Exhausts we fabricate ourselves in stainless steel, TIG-welded in-house, from a single downpipe or cut-out valve to a full system. If you're doing both, the sensible order is exhaust first, then the remap, so the map matches the hardware.
We won't pretend 115 km is a short hop. For a service or an everyday repair there are plenty of garages nearer to you. The drive makes sense for work you can't easily get done elsewhere, like an exhaust made from scratch for your car. To avoid a wasted journey, send us the make, model, year and a few photos of your current exhaust and the underside on WhatsApp first. That way the job's agreed and the price is clear before you arrive.
Everything is built to your spec. Modified exhausts, cut-out valves and pops and bangs maps can affect noise limits and the ITV or MOT, and keeping the car legal is the owner's responsibility.
What Benalmádena drivers usually come in for
ECU remaps and custom exhausts: downpipes, cut-out valves, full stainless systems and, for those who want them, pops and bangs maps. We work on all makes, most often VAG, BMW, Mercedes and AMG.
Frequently asked questions
Should I do the exhaust or the remap first?
Usually the exhaust. If you change parts like the downpipe, the map needs to suit them, so it makes sense to remap last.
Can it all be done in one trip?
Often, yes, if we've agreed the job beforehand. How long we need the car depends on the car and the job; tell us what you want doing and we'll let you know when we quote.
What should I send you for a quote?
Make, model, year and engine, what you're hoping to get out of it, and a few photos of the existing exhaust. WhatsApp us on +34 642 63 66 39.
Will a pops and bangs map cause trouble at the ITV or MOT?
It can, because it makes the car louder. We only do it on request and explain what it means beforehand; keeping the car legal is down to the owner.
Do you remap diesels as well?
Yes. Turbo diesels often feel a remap most in low-rev torque. As with petrol cars, we check the car over before touching the software.
