Ask what a Fuengirola driver wants from an Audi mechanic and the answer often starts with the five-cylinder. The 2.5 TFSI in the RS3 and TT RS sounds like nothing else, and a good stainless exhaust lets you hear it without turning every motorway run into a drone. SRM Performance is in La Línea, about 105 km away, and VAG cars are what we see most.
That engine also takes a remap very well, though with more power it pays to look at the S tronic clutches and at the plugs and coil packs first. The S3 and the rest of the 2.0 TFSI family are the other big group. We know the EA888's weak spots: oil consumption on some second-generation engines, coolant leaks from the plastic water pump and thermostat housing on third-generation ones, and carbon build-up on the intake valves that comes with direct injection.
Plenty of quieter Audis come in too. On the TDIs it's usually gearbox servicing and a cambelt at the right mileage, and on the bigger cars, suspension and electrics that don't love the damp sea air.
We're an independent garage, not an Audi dealer. What we offer someone driving over from Fuengirola is real familiarity with these engines and a straight answer about what's worth doing before anything gets touched.

Frequently asked questions
What exhaust would you suggest for an RS3?
That depends on how loud you want it and how you use the car. We'll talk it through and build it to suit. A louder system can cause problems at the ITV, and keeping the car legal is the owner's responsibility.
My A3 2.0 TFSI is using oil. Can you look at it?
Yes. We measure the consumption and check the engine to find out where it's going before suggesting a repair.
Can the S tronic be remapped too?
Often, yes, to match the new engine map. We'll confirm for your car and gearbox.
Are you an Audi dealer?
No. We're an independent performance garage that sees a lot of VAG cars.
