Driving route to the workshop
Let's be straight about the distance. If you live in Fuengirola and just need an oil change or a set of brake pads, there are garages a few streets from the seafront or out in Los Boliches that will do it, and driving 105 km for that makes little sense. The cars that make the trip to us come for something more specialist: work you want done properly once, by people who do it all the time.
From this stretch of the coast, three jobs come up again and again. ECU remaps, mostly on turbocharged petrol and diesel engines, where the difference is obvious every time you pull out onto the A-7. Custom exhausts, TIG-welded in stainless, often with valves so the car can stay quiet when you leave an apartment block at seven in the morning and open up on a proper road. And VAG cars generally: Golf GTI and R, Audi S3 and RS3, Cupra Leon and Formentor. They're the cars we see most and the engines we know best.
Fuengirola has a large, long-settled community from northern Europe, British and Scandinavian in particular, and a lot of those drivers know exactly what they want from their car. What they tend to want from a garage is a clear explanation before anything gets touched. That's how we try to work: we look at the car, tell you what's realistic and give you a price before we start.
One thing worth knowing up front. A louder exhaust or a pops and bangs map can cause problems at the ITV, Spain's MOT, and with noise rules. We build to your spec, but keeping the car road-legal is the owner's responsibility, and we'll tell you plainly if something is likely to cause trouble at inspection.
What Fuengirola drivers ask us for
Stage 1 and stage 2 remaps, custom exhausts with or without valves, and full builds on VAG cars. If you drive a Golf, a Leon or an Audi with the 2.0 TSI, the chances are we've had that engine apart before. Below are the brand and service pages for Fuengirola.

Frequently asked questions
Is it worth driving from Fuengirola to La Línea?
For routine maintenance, usually not, as there are garages closer to home. It's worth it for a remap, a custom exhaust, a performance build or a car that needs someone who knows it well. If you combine the trip with a service, even better.
How long will the car need to stay?
It depends on the car and the job. We'll tell you when we quote, so you can plan the trip.
Do you work on cars outside the VAG group?
Yes, all makes. Most of what we see is VAG, Mercedes and AMG, BMW, Porsche and Jaguar, but any car is welcome.
Can I get a quote without coming in?
Yes. Send us the make, model, year, engine and what you'd like done on WhatsApp. Photos, or a short video of the current exhaust, help a lot. We'll give you an idea of cost and firm it up once we've seen the car.
Will a remap or exhaust pass the ITV?
It depends on the car and the work. A louder exhaust or certain maps can cause problems at inspection. We build to your spec and explain the risks; keeping the car legal is the owner's responsibility. We can also help with the ITV and homologation paperwork.
