We'll be honest about car servicing for Fuengirola drivers: if a service is all you need, there are garages much closer than us. Driving 105 km each way for an oil and filter change rarely makes sense.
There are two situations where bringing the car to La Línea does make sense. The first is when you're coming anyway: for a remap, a custom exhaust, a timing chain or a performance build. Doing the service at the same time saves another visit to another garage, and we get to know the whole car, not just the part we worked on.
The second is when the car really benefits from someone who knows it: a Porsche, an AMG, a BMW M, an RS or a modified Golf R. On these cars a service is more than oil. You need to know what to look for on each engine, which intervals to shorten if the car is remapped or does lots of town driving, and when the DSG, PDK or differential oil is due.
On the coast there are also things that matter less inland: corrosion underneath and on fasteners from the salt air, brakes on cars that sit for weeks while their owners are away, and batteries that suffer in the summer heat. A proper service covers those too.

Driving route to the workshop
If you're coming from Fuengirola
About 105 km on the A-7 or AP-7 to San Roque and La Línea, roughly 1 hour 20 minutes. We'd suggest combining the service with other work to make the trip worthwhile. We can also collect and deliver the car; ask us, as it depends on where you are.
What a proper service covers
Oil and filters
The correct oil for your engine, plus oil, air, cabin and fuel filters as they fall due.
Gearboxes and differentials
DSG, PDK, automatic, Haldex or differential oil when it's due, which many services skip.
Brakes, battery and underside
Brake, battery and corrosion checks for cars that live by the sea.
Intervals for modified cars
A remapped car or one that does mostly town driving needs shorter intervals than the book says.

Frequently asked questions
Is it worth coming from Fuengirola just for a service?
Usually not, unless the car is something special or you want the garage that built it to look after it. If you're coming for other work, yes.
Will a service with you keep the manufacturer's warranty?
Yes. Generally, in the EU servicing outside the dealer network keeps the warranty valid as long as the manufacturer's specifications are followed, and that's what we do. Ask us about your specific car.
Do you use genuine parts?
Both: genuine parts or good-quality equivalents, and we'll explain the options. If you'd prefer one or the other, tell us when you ask for a quote.
Do you stamp the service book?
Yes, we stamp the service book and give you an itemised invoice in English.
How long does a service take?
It depends on the car and the job; we'll tell you when we quote. If you combine it with other work, we'll give you one overall timescale.
