Driving 75 km from Marbella for car servicing won't make sense for everyone, and we'd rather say so. But some drivers from Marbella, San Pedro and Elviria do bring their cars to SRM Performance in La Línea, and it's usually for one of three reasons.
First, the car is already coming to us for an exhaust, a map or a fault, so the service gets done on the same trip. Second, it's a car that needs someone who knows it, such as an AMG, an M car, a Porsche or a remapped Golf R, and the owner wants the same workshop that built it to look after it. Third, they want a garage that shows them what it finds and quotes before touching anything.
A proper service on a Marbella car takes account of how it's used. Short trips contaminate the oil sooner, summer heat is hard on batteries and coolant, and salty air off the seafront gets at brakes and underbodies. We follow the manufacturer's schedule and look at the things it doesn't mention.
If we spot anything else during the service, we'll tell you and you decide. No surprises on the invoice.
