A Ford mechanic for Marbella who understands a Focus RS as well as a working Transit isn't that easy to find. At SRM Performance in La Línea we do both: the day-to-day mechanics and the tuning side of the ST and RS models.
Fast Fords have a loyal following on the coast. The Fiesta ST, in 1.6 or 1.5 three-cylinder form, is one of the small cars that responds best to a remap and an exhaust. The Focus ST has gone through the 2.5 five-cylinder, the 2.0 EcoBoost and the 2.3, and early Mk3 Focus RS cars have a well-known head gasket issue. As for the Mustang, in 5.0 V8 or 2.3 EcoBoost form, plenty of owners want an exhaust that sounds the way it should.
On the practical side, Marbella and San Pedro are full of Transits, Transit Customs and Rangers belonging to builders, gardeners and pool firms. Clutches, dual-mass flywheels, timing belts (including the oil-bathed belts on some EcoBoost and EcoBlue engines) and servicing are routine work for us.
Exhausts and maps are built to your spec. They can affect the ITV, and keeping the car legal is the owner's responsibility.

Frequently asked questions
Is a Fiesta ST worth remapping?
It's one of the small cars that changes most with a map. We check the engine first and explain what to expect.
Do you replace the wet belt on the 1.0 EcoBoost?
Yes. Message us with the model and mileage.
Do you work on company vans?
Yes: Transits, Transit Customs and Rangers. Business and fleet customers are welcome.
Will a Mustang exhaust pass the ITV?
That depends on the exhaust and how it's used. We build it to your spec, but keeping the car legal is the owner's responsibility, and we'll explain before starting.
