SRM Performance is a car mechanic in La Línea de la Concepción, about 2 km from the Gibraltar frontier. We look after everyday cars and take on the bigger projects too.
This is our home town, so La Línea is where most of our day-to-day work comes from: servicing, brakes, timing belts, clutches, warning lights on the dash and the odd noise that nobody else has managed to track down. It is ordinary garage work and we give it the same attention as a full build.
Driving round La Línea is hard on a car in its own quiet way. Most journeys are short, so the engine rarely gets properly warm and the battery never gets a decent charge. Stop-start town traffic wears clutches faster than motorway miles ever would. Then there is the salt air coming off the bay on one side and the Mediterranean on the other, which gets into exhausts, brackets and electrical connectors sooner than most people expect. When we check your car we will tell you plainly what is worth keeping an eye on.
Being local also makes it easy to drop in about the more interesting jobs: a custom stainless exhaust, TIG welding in aluminium, an ECU remap, air suspension, or bringing a classic back to life after years in a garage. We work on all makes, though the cars we see most are VW Group (Golf, Audi, Seat, Cupra), Mercedes and AMG, BMW, Porsche and Jaguar.

What are your opening hours?
Monday to Saturday, 10:00 to 19:00. We're closed on Sunday. The quickest way to arrange a time is a WhatsApp message.
Do I need to book, or can I just turn up?
You can just turn up, but booking on WhatsApp first is easier: we know what the car is doing and can give you a time. If it is urgent, call us and we will see what we can do.
Do you do ordinary servicing, or only performance work?
Both. A large part of what we do is everyday mechanical work on all makes: servicing, brakes, timing belts, clutches and fault finding.
Will I know the price before you start?
Yes. We look at the car first and give you a quote. If anything else turns up during the job, we ring you before going any further.
Do you speak English?
Yes, we speak Spanish and English. WhatsApp is the easiest way to get in touch, and written messages are easy to pass round the workshop.
