Audi mechanic for Málaga

For anyone looking for an Audi mechanic for Málaga who knows RS models and TFSI engines inside out, La Línea is about 130 km down the coast. VAG group cars make up much of our work, and Audis are a big part of that.

The 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder in the RS3 and TT RS has a voice that deserves a proper exhaust, and building one is among the most satisfying jobs we do: a custom stainless system, with or without valves, that brings out that offbeat warble instead of drowning it in drone. At the other end of the scale, older generations of the 2.0 TFSI EA888 are known for burning oil through the piston rings, which is worth knowing before you remap an older S3 or A4.

Direct-injection engines such as the 4.2 V8 in the B7 RS4 also build up carbon on the intake valves over time, and you feel it in the idle and the response. On transverse-engined quattros, the Haldex coupling's oil change is easily forgotten, and when it's skipped the system stops sending drive rearwards as it should.

If your Audi just needs a service, a garage near home in Málaga will save you the trip. For tuning, exhausts or a fault no one has managed to fix, get in touch.

Driving route to the workshop

From Málaga to La Línea in your Audi

About 130 km west, roughly an hour and 40 minutes by car. From Churriana, next to the airport, you're straight onto the motorway; from the centre or El Palo, it's the ring road first. Then the AP-7 or A-7 to San Roque and down into La Línea. If you'd rather not make the trip, collection and delivery is possible, priced on request depending on where you are.

  • Haldex servicing

Oil change and inspection of the Haldex coupling on transverse quattro models.

  • Intake valve cleaning

Carbon build-up on direct-injection engines such as the B7 RS4's 4.2. We clean the valves.

Frequently asked questions

What exhaust would you suggest for an RS3?

It depends on whether you want sound, weight saving or both, and how much town driving you do. We'll talk it through and build it to measure. Remember that a modified exhaust can affect the ITV or MOT and noise rules; keeping the car legal is the owner's responsibility.

My 2.0 TFSI uses oil. Can I still remap it?

First we need to know why. On some EA888 generations it's a known piston ring problem, and remapping an engine like that isn't wise. We'll check it and explain the options.

How often should the Haldex oil be changed?

It varies with model and use, but plenty of cars have never had it done. If you don't know when it was last changed, it's worth a look.

Are you an official Audi garage?

No. We're an independent workshop specialising in VAG group cars and tuning.
