These cars, now part of the Stellantis group, are all over the area: 208s in town, Berlingo vans on deliveries, 3008s doing the A-7 to Algeciras and back every day. Most of them share the same engines and gearboxes, so the same handful of problems turns up again and again.
The one owners worry about most is the 1.2 PureTech petrol. Its timing belt runs in the engine oil and, over time, can break down and shed debris into the sump, where it blocks the oil pump pickup. Often the first warning is an oil pressure light, which is late. Checking the belt's condition is cheap compared with what happens if it fails or starves the engine of oil.
On the diesel side, the BlueHDi engines are economical but their AdBlue systems can be troublesome, with sensors, pumps and tanks all known to fail. We diagnose and repair them so they work as intended. And for the quicker cars, the 208 GTi and 308 GTi are welcome too: exhaust, remap or suspension, to your spec and with the ITV or MOT in mind.

We check the belt's condition, clean out any debris and fit a new belt with the full kit. It's the job these engines need more than any other.
PureTech oil consumption
Some 1.2 PureTech engines use more oil than they should. We measure it and work out whether it's tied to the belt or something else.
1.6 THP timing chain and carbon build-up
This turbo engine, shared with Mini, is known for timing chain stretch and carbon in the intake. A metallic rattle on a cold start is the classic sign.
BlueHDi AdBlue system
Emissions warnings, a start countdown or NOx sensor faults. We diagnose the system and repair it.
EAT6 and EAT8 automatic gearboxes
Harsh or jerky shifts, or the gearbox dropping into limp mode. We check the fluid, read the gearbox ECU and tell you what it needs.

No, we're an independent garage. We use parts of equivalent quality and follow the manufacturer's service intervals.
How do I know if my PureTech belt is worn?
It doesn't always give symptoms before it fails. The safe thing is to inspect it through the oil filler and check the oil for debris. Bring the car in and we'll have a look.
I've got an AdBlue warning with a countdown. What should I do?
