Toyota has a reputation for reliability, and most of its cars earn it. That doesn't mean they need nothing. A hybrid doing short runs along the coast in the heat and salt air has its own needs, and D-4D diesels and working 4x4s want servicing like anything else.
Hybrids have a couple of things that often get missed. The fan that cools the hybrid battery usually has a filter or grille near the rear seats that clogs with dust and pet hair, and when it does the battery runs hotter than it should. The small 12-volt battery also catches out cars that don't get driven much. Both are quick checks. And if the fault is in the high-voltage system itself, we work on that too.
Then there are the fun ones. The GR Yaris with its turbocharged three-cylinder and four-wheel drive, the GR86, and the Supra, which uses the same BMW straight-six we see in the BMWs that come through the workshop. TIG-welded stainless exhausts, remaps or suspension, always to your spec, with keeping the car ITV and MOT-legal down to the owner.

D-4D diesel head gaskets
The 2.0 and 2.2 D-4D engines from certain years are known for head gasket failures and oil use. If your Avensis, Auris or RAV4 is losing coolant or smoking, get it looked at.
Hilux and Land Cruiser upkeep
Injectors, clutches, brakes and underside checks. Salt and dirt tracks are hard on chassis, so we look at corrosion as well.
GR Yaris servicing and setup
Oil and cooling on cars that see track days, clutches, brakes and differentials. If you want an exhaust or a map, we check the engine first.
Supra A90 and its BMW engine

Can you service my Toyota hybrid?
Yes, routine servicing on a hybrid is much like any other car. We also carry out repairs on the battery and high-voltage system.
Do you work on the GR Yaris?
Yes: servicing, brakes, clutches, exhausts and remaps. Before adding power we make sure the engine and cooling are in good order.
